CHIC
Chic Powers

Chic's music career started back in the 80's, when he performed as a vocalist with a
band called "Volon". They opened shows for bands such as Foghat, The Romantics, and
The Producers for a couple of years. Then, one day Chic got a call from Rowdy, who's
band "Blind Ambition" was in need of a guitarist. So Chic hooked up with Rowdy and
"Blind Ambition" and did that gig for about a year. Chic and Rowdy eventually tired of
playing that type of music, and started looking for a drummer and bassist to jam with.
One day Chic ran into Thunder, who said he had a bass player (Stone), so they all got
together at Thunder's pad for a jam session, and "The Rain" was born. Two months later,
they had a record deal,  toured seventeen states, and played "Farm Aid" with bands such
as "The Gin Blossoms", Neil Young, "The Spin Doctors", and Willie Nelson. Chic says,"Now,
The Rain is better than ever, and we are looking forward to the release of our new CD
and many more years to come".

Chic's gear includes a Fender Stratocaster guitar and a Hot Rod Deville amp.
