THUNDER
Thunder Johnson
Thunder started experimenting on the drums at age 17. Early on, he roadied for a band called
"Escape". After performing with the New Orleans based bands "The Mustangs" and "Royal Flush",
he found his way in to a band called "Wanted". This is where he and Stone became
friends and partners in music. Thunder knew Chic from his roadie days, and introduced the two.
Chic brought Rowdy in to the mix, and "The Rain" was born! Over the years, "The Rain" went
through a few break-ups. In between break-ups, Thunder performed as lead vocalist in a Metairie
based band called "Nancy My Earrings"(NME). He also sang for a band he formed to play
on Bourbon St. at the "Krazy Korner" called "Nothing Personal". He started back on the drums
with a group he put together called "The Ersters". Eventually, the members of "The Rain" decided
to give it another shot, and the rest is history!
